    TD5 and V8 Fuse Panel

Having lost the fans for both the aircon front and rear, rather than trying to solder it right -not too confident on boards, wires alright), thought I might have a look at a replacement one, plenty out there it seems all well under a $100, thinking it also comes with a whole supply of extra relays and a complete fuse set! BUT they do not nominate whether they are from a TD5 or V8, is this a concern?

Went through my LR Workshop manual (must say it is pretty good but three volumes is lot of paper) and all it shows is the simple removal of the panel, not the layouts.

V8 and Td5 fuse boxes(inside, fuse box, right?) are the same.
Just populate your (whatever version fuse box) with the fuses and relays out of yours.

Brothers Td5 fuse box appeared to have an issue(turned out not to be) but we changed his anyhow.
His dash supports have a lot of surface rust so implied that potentially his fuse box may be marginal, so I went ahead and just swapped over with my spare out of my part V8.

Easy peasy. I pulled all the fuses out of the V8 box, and then one by one placed his Td5 fuses into the V8 one.
99% same fuses and locations, but some are V8 specific and some are Td5 specific .. so you may end up with a few blank spaces once you're done.

I remember tho that there wasn't a lot of slack in the main loom, and some of the plugs were very hard to unclip to remove!

But I'd say the difficulty level would be a "5" or so. That is, maybe only one in every five words will be an expletive!

Warms the cockles of my heart!

Great advice and thanks for the link, will promise only to swear if absolutely necessary and then keep it short! Well, $75 delivered, full complement of fuses and relays on board seems good value to me then.

Td5 or V8 is the same BUT it's important that the replacement fusebox to be removed from same modell(facelift or non-facelift) cos there is a difference between these fuseboxes and you might find some oddities if you mix them as the circuits within are not 100% the same also there is no circuit diagram which covers correctly the facelift's power distribution, what's in RAVE is not correct so when they show the book on the label the book is actually not always OK... you can see on the attached labels that there is a difference at F3 and F5, first is non-facelift, second facelift

Didn't think of this! just asked for a fuse box, didn't specify the year / series...
