Second battery behind drivers side wheel arch

Has anyone fitted their second battery behind the drivers side wheel arch?
If so how did you do it? Go through the floor of the boot? Underneath the car?

    Really appreciate your help

I ran my wire under the car, up into the cavity where the body tails lights are and then through the plastic into that box behind the wheel arch. Hope that makes sense.

I have seen one, on a hinged shelf, hanging of the chassis, behind the drivers side rear wheel.
You can however route the cable up behind the rear light and drill a suitable hole for the cable.

Is there any particular reason that you have that you want to mount it there? There are a couple of options for mounting it under the bonnet. It's usually easier to route the lower amperage cabling through the car, and keep the high amperage stuff shorter.

Do you have SLS? I mounted the aux battery on the compressor shelf.

I was going to mention that, but I asked myself: why? Sure, mine still has the compressor, and I hope to reinstate SLS if I keep it, but mine has an ARB bracket on the passenger side ( don't like this, too close to the turbo and thus hot ), but I got one of Carl's brackets which hold two batteries together, and all you lose is the stupid jack.

Not knocking what you did. Each to their own.

I'd tempted to do a bracket where the ace valve block lives if yours doesn't have ACE. With the dual yellow top mounts sure you get two seperate batteries but you aren't gaining much capacity especially considering the cost). Where the diesel heater mounts has the issue of being well cooked by the exhaust/turbo

Second battery on SLS Compressor shelf

I did the same, using an AGM battery lying on its side, with the terminals uppermost.
Cable to Anderson socket at the back runs straight alongside (not beneath) the pax-side chassis rail.
