No 2” lift is ever that anyway. And yet people seem stuck on that one also!

40mm extended will work fine with a 2” longer travel.
    Stock just struggles a little.

Yep, Goodridge ones for sure, the change in the pedal feel and the reduced effort for the same braking is amazing.
I added some DBA slotted rotors and new Bendix 4WD pads at the same time so some of it is also due to this but the feel is undeniable from just the braided hoses.

I put verniers on an original front hose, hit the brakes with the engine running and vernier came up 2mm bigger in diameter hence why they got replaced.

Does anyone know what the replacement interval for the Teflon lined, braided SS brake hoses is? In lieu of better knowledge, should the same interval as original hoses be used which IIRC is 6 years? I ask because the Defender we bought has a 50.8mm lift with the above type extended hose fitted. I have no record how long they have been on so will replace anyway but would like to know for future reference.

As long as the outer hose shows no sign of damage or rust, as long as there’s no other signs of abnormal swelling etc, the PTFE hoses should last the life of the vehicle.

I have ordered Goodridge with some difficulty from the UK.

The first place I tried had a glitch caused by Brexit where they would not accept Paypal . I told them the difficulty but after waiting I ordered from another place with no difficulty.
They are wending their way here now.

They said something about an international service that lists their products on other country's Ebay . Thta must be why we get all those Italian tyre ads on Ebay when they are so expensive that nobody would ever buy from them.

I do not have a lift. The extra 40mm 2 inches? Hmm how does that happen with 25mm per inch? Anyway the extra length is not a problem. Brakes are nice and firm now.
the Part number on that listing is Britpart distributed

I’m a user of HEL brake lines.
Fit them on my bikes and vehicles.
