I think it's the return pipe to sump from centrifugal filter.

Doing a major servcie on my D2a and changing over pretty much everything outside the engine, hoses, belt, idlers, bearings, seals and a few leaks sorted.
BUT I have this item which I cannot recall replacing.
I figure it should have been either on the front end of the exhaust manifold or on the return pipe on the bottom of the centrifrugal filter (maybe).
It is same shape (but larger) than the one on the bottom turbo oil pipe.
Just thinking that I have forgotten to replace a gasket somewhere.
Can anybody point me where to check?

Thanks you all, I shall now have to go check that item. I had a sneaking supicion it might have been that, but the car has been a work in progress over last couple of months and I couldn't specifically recall that I had replaced that item (or missed it).
Pulled everything out and found that I had installed the new gasket, but if I hadn't checked, it would be a certainty that I hadn't replaced it.
