Benny_IIA does/did. He doesn't look to have been active on here in quiet some time (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/members/19456.html says the his last activity was on 9th August 2016 11:29 PM). His previous comments from circa 2011-2012 era are:

When went to upgrade to the s220 I rang them direct and they agreed to sell me the turbo. It is not normally avavilbe from TT only from BAS or IRB in a special tunning package.
I think you made the right choice with the s208 you do loose some low end grunt with the bigger turbo. It is very violent in the power curve so makes it hard off road.
It also requires a bigger air box and dual intakes.
I'm going to run a second air box (K&N appoll) and move the MAF so the it feeds into a Y branch then into the MAF.
It also requires upgrading of the flexy intake pipe from the turbo as it sucks it flat.
The power figures from TT are very conservative.
i have seen a s208 with just over 200 hp and s220 can make 240+.
The top end power is alot more it pulls very hard to the rev limiter.
Td5 inside are working on a stronger map then there current stage 3+++ map for my larger turbo.
I'm also getting a custom manifold my apt fab which will be a 5 into 1 collector manifold. Instead of there normal 'log' manifold.

There is a custom hybrid turbo s220.
I have just got my s220 and it is much larger then the orignal. The s208s uses the orignal front housing. I spoke to TT in depth about the s220 and it uses a larger from housing and shaft from a t25 that was in a BMW I believe.
Having owned the s208 before the stage 3 has a little bit more lag but has a lot more punch up top. They are designed for a 3' exhuast and are good for 1.8-2.0 bar of boost.

I'm not aware of anyone else locally with one.
It would be interesting to see modern results and commentary on this - what I mean is that TurboTechnics have updated the S220 to feature a CNC machined impeller which should increase response, reduce lag and increase flow (our testing of an aftermarket CNC machined impeller on a centrifugal supercharger years ago had 20% increase in boost level at the same RPM over the Powerdyns original cast impeller), then combined with a CJM (Alisport) performance manifold and the improvements in Td5 tuning (there's certainly been some big changes over the past 8-9 years that have improved my S208's response) if the lag Benny mentions would be significantly reduced.
The main concern is the air intake requirements - it's undesirable, in my opinion, to not have a snorkel fitted to a 4WD used for touring and 4WDing. Dual intakes seems excessive and overly complicated compared to a single larger intake. Then the MAF sensor is still a limiting factor - so long as the rest of the intake is at least as big (no smaller) than the ID of the MAF sensor I would assume the MAF will remain the lowest flow of your intake setup.
