Fibreglass scuttle plenum grill discovery 2

I did read someone had purchased a fibreglass scuttle for their Discovery 2 2002 from Malaysia , does anyone know the contact details or where I could purchase a fibreglass scuttle as the plastic ones are expensive.

I need one too, perhaps consider a group buy.
I don't think the original is still available.

I had a New one fitted (Genuine) and the side trims as well when I had my winscreen fitted about 12 months ago.
Give Whyatts in Geraldton a buzz and see if they can source a genuine plenium for you because that is where I got mine from

For anyone considering the Malaysian made ones, and Rexypow.
I exchanged many emails with him, when I was looking to mod my radiator grille(D1) to a mock Saudi type.
He's a very approachable type, understood what I was after, sent him pics of the grille type/look(he'd never seen before), and at that time he was honest enough to let me know he may not be able to produce it to a good standard.
He did offer to make a 'blank' type, that is with just a large opening where the horizontal slats should be, and then I could fit a mesh myself.

In the end I found a grille off a wreck and modded it myself .. much cheaper.

Also, depending on how badly broken your panel is, as long as it's large pieces and not small shards to deal with, they are very easy to repair with standard fibreglass fix stuff.
My project D2 V8 panel was snapped in half(only) so I fixed it myself with some of this fibreglass panel fixing kit.
Also added two steel braces between the two halves to give it a bit more strength. Only thing I didn't do tho was to finish the still visible external crack(yet). A bit of putty and then a coat of paint, and I reckon it'll come up OK.
Will get around to that one day when it's time to get this project on the road.
    Arthur.

If it's of any help, the Land Rover part number for the genuine units is JAK000010PMA (which supersedes JAG100110).

These are showing as available from UK suppliers for around GBP 175.00.

POW Composites & Fabrication is the mob making fibreglass units though:

Plus I bet a tonne of freight seeing they are so bulky.

I looked at a batwing for my disco a couple of days ago and they were much cheaper than the OZ one but freight of GBP 200!!!! which bought them up to AUD 700 or near the OZ one.
