Yes, tried lowering the jack with the breaker bar on a block of wood. Was as much force on the breaker bar as I dared to use (without a handy brick wall in the middle of the garage), but no movement from the nut.

break out force almost always exceeds torquing force.

also yes the milwalkee will undo the staking for you, it will also in the process if your luck follows some hapless fool who then needed me to replace a stub axle, remove the thread of the stub shaft.

This is, of course, possible. But maybe that will be the result here anyway. The OP says he has already undone the staking, so there seems to be more afoot.

not really, I've maxxed out 1000nm torque wrenches trying to undo the stakenut setup and wound up with the only solution being the 3/4 drive rattler or the 3/4 breaker with the bar torque mulitplying and a hit on the crown of the breaker with the FBH.
