I got desperate. No fan isn't an issue on highway, but I've got an off road weekend planned over Easter.

Could be Paul, I'll go and check the dams if we get locked down.

I am aware that the OEM fans are expensive But considering that the original lasted 14 years I went with a OEM replacement fan in 2018 when it carked it on my D2a, Still going strong (So far so good)[thumbsupbig]

I take that approach with other things, like start batteries. Thing lasts five years, must start the car a million times, costs around $200 ish and people want to scrimp on a few $$$? I am by no means well off, bu that sort of 'economy' strikes me as dumb.

You are aware that tyre and battery manufacturers make batches of product, to a higher standard than that supplied to the retail trade, for vehicle manufacturers?
