I've done it a few times also, it's bad. :lol2:

I remember spending a lot of money and spilling a lot of ATF fluid trying to make the auto take more power and actually live by installing ATF coolers and got zero reliability until we went to pressure fittings. You're right, it'll drop its guts before you know it. I remember once they didn't even get it out of the workshop before a pushon flare setup blew apart. :bangin:

My local indie described it thus: KAPOW!!

I've really got to replace mine and relocate the cooler further forward. I'm living on borrowed time. And I can get a bigger IC in there then, too. [emoji16]
I've already had a ride home on the tilt tray from the fitting coming loose on the 'box and quickly pumping 6 litres of fluid out. [emoji53]

Remarkably LR original ones are pretty much the same price as aftermarket ones .

I replaced mine a few months ago, and no specialists had both in stock . went to the Gosford dealer and had them in 2 days.

Unbelievable!
BTW they came with orings so don't let them add orings as well.
