    New Narva LED headlight globes?

Anyone tried these or similar? They look very slimline. The last time I entertained the idea of led globes in my ute the globes themselves were enormous and hear sinks even bigger again New Narva LED headlight globes?

Also can someone please confirm that the d2a takes a different bulbs to the d2? Reading a lot of contradicting opinions on this (and no i can't go and look, I'm away at work)

    Cheers

The D2 use H4, the combination main beam and headlight. The D2a uses the single filament H7 two of them, one for main beam one for high beam.

I fitted simmilar led globes to the high beams of my D2a about 5 years ago and they are still going strong
The D2a's do have seperate globes/lenses for high and low beam and the D2's only have a single lens/globe so I am assuming that they are a differant globe to those fitted in the D2's.

Yap! as bohica and trout say, D2a is H7, D2(non a) is H4.

So if you have a D2 with H4's the one on the left(surefit) will fit. the higher performance one on the right with external heatsink .. most likely will not fit between rear of headlight and bulkhead behind headlight. Not a lot of room.

Interesting to see the surefit version has a heatink that would be contained within the headlight unit .. once fitted and the rubber boot fitted, is sure to build up a fair amount of heat too.

It sounds like the non H4 versions of the 'surefit' globe range use fans for active cooling. For sure will fail at some point in the future with the muck and gunk that will build up back there.
I wouldn't fit them to a offroader of any variety. Being an offroader, it would be appropriate to assume that at the least, the vehicle will do some gravel/dusty roads at some point in it's life.
In a battle between dust and dinky little fans .. dinky little fans will lose out eventually.

I did same as trout and fitted LEDs to my D1(everything except the central brake globe and warning lights in dash).
Cheapo Chinesium T10 wedge LEDs seem to blow with regularity in the park globes, but easy to change and sometimes easier just to leave them!
But my rear brake globes(filaments) were blowing almost every other week, and replacing them was hard and annoying.

Nice bright headlights are a joy to have, compared to the 0.01 candle power match sticks .... oops!... I meant the halogen globes in the work trucks.
