    Rear wheel hub

    Hi all this may be a dumb question I need to change my left rear wheel hub it's nacked I have been reading and watching you tube some are saying to put silicon or loc tight on the splines is this right and is there a porpoise to this any help would be great.

    There are plenty of posts on this nb torque to proper torque and use locktite as specified eg Hub nut - why is it so tight?

    Why is it so tight? So it doesn't fall off!!

    Spreadsheet here for torque settings based on weight of 'mechanic'
