Question for anyone with a rear door ladder

Quick question for anyone with a read door ladder. Can you or have you ever used it for storage or bulky items like maxtrax or maybe even a jerry can?

I'm thinking a rear door ladder would make a good maxtrax holder but ive never seen one in person. Hard to gauge these things from photos online.

Any weight on the ladder is increased at the hinge by mechanical advantage, when the door is open. I think a jerry is a big ask of the hinges and pillar.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Good point. Already have a bigger tyre on there.
Maxtrax storage wouldn't be pushing it too far i imagine. They aren't overly heavy, nothing like a jerry anyways.

You really don't want too much more weight on that. When I fitted oversize tyres I made sure that when the door was closed the tyre rested on the rear steel bar to provide some hinge relief - especially for off road/corrugations.

I guess a max-track would be ok, I'd be using the ladder to get onto the roof rack to access the max-track, etc. You can get fittings for the max-track that go on the side of the roof rack.

    Most people carry at least 2x maxtracks ( I carry 4x) .
Maybe not so weighty clean but covered in mud/sand they can be so putting all that extra kgs on the rear door hinges isn't a great idea. .
Whack them on the roofrack and use the ladder to access them
