The Transfer Case is locked in Low ratio.

I rarely ever use low ratio except some times when reversing with a trailer. Did so yesterday and now the transfer case is locked in low range. The gear lever feels like it shifts out of low and into high but it doesn't seem to go as far forward as it used to. I need the vehicle tomorrow. Any ideas? 2001 D2 low kilometres all original.

You could try rolling forward whilst disengaging if you haven’t already.

The shifter can lock up from surface rust if it hasn’t moved in a while. It happened in my first 110. Maybe spray some lubricant in there.

Thanks guys yes rolling back and forward as well as neautral where it is meant to be and louder swearing all helped and it is now in high. I think I will check the cable adjustment next time it is on the hoist in the mean time I won't use low ratio. Thanks guys.
