3 Amigos caused by faulty alternator?

    Hey all, 2003 TD5 Auto 250k km

She's off the road at the moment, so I'd appreciate some suggestions.

The SRS and another light ( I can't remember exactly which one), we're on for a month but it was driving fine so the mrs kept driving. (SRS light was the connector under driver's seat last time, so I thought t may be related and didn't act on it, even though there was another light involved this time).

One evening the mrs called and was broken down in limp mode.

When I went out there, it was flat, so jumped it and got it home in limp mode.
On the way home head lights started to play up, as the battery was dying from no charge from alternator.

I think I tested the alternator when I got home and it was ok, so I bought a new battery.

It drove fine for a few days and then broke down again, because the battery was flat. This is when the 3 amigos came on.

So I disconnected ECU and sprayed out the connectors. I think the red had a little bit of oil in the pins. Charged the battery for 2 days, started the engine and tested it. The alternator was charging at the start, then when I went back a minute later to test, alternator had failed and no charge was on the batteries.

So it looks like I need to start with a new alternator (2nd in 5 years. First one died from leaking oil, so I changed the rocker cover gasket and put in new starter. Sp this one has only lasted 4.5 years or so).

But there are heaps of dash lights on now: The exclamation mark (even when hand break is off), TC light, ABS light, SRS light, Hill descent light, green M light, green S light, oil lamp and battery light.

Could a failed alternator cause all of this due to severe low voltage? Or is it more likely to be at least two separate issues? Thanks all.

Do you have a code reader?

    Really hard without one!

A severely flat battery could do anything, as all components are not getting enough power, so the sky is the limit!

If you have recently had no faults, and now have every fault, yeah, it could be the battery/alternator.

All those warnings can be the result of low voltage... except the oil pressure light(if the engine is running)
    Discovery Td5 (2000), manual, tuned
