    TD5 fuel to oil contamination

I've been a bit suspicious of the oil level seeming to creep up instead of drop so had the oil analysed, and this confirmed fuel contamination.
I suspect the injector seals so will replace them but just checking if anyone knows of any upgrade to the quality and therefore longevity of these seals.
Same goes for the injector harness which I'll replace as a matter of course.
    Appreciate any input..................

Try to buy Original Land Rover copper washers and O rings as some aftermarket are not so good quality.
Thoroughly clean the tips of the injectors where the washers sit.
Although you may not be able to see it for carbon that looks like injector material , there is a raised ridge running around the injector tip which I think is the actual seal. My bet is that many mechanics do not go to the trouble of CAREFULLY scraping away the carbon before fitting new washers.
Also make sure you put the orings at the top of the injectors in the correct groove.
A fiddley job but the car will go much better after injector seals and the correct bump on the camshaft.
BTW Do one at a time or make sure you keep the injectors in order as the ECU has individual codes by injector.

Try tightening the bolts holding the injector clamps before doing anything else as I found they can be loose.

Also a good idea to use a rag down the injector hole to clean the sealing surface. I use a chopstick and a long thin rag soaked in wd40. Long rag so you don't lose it - this bit is really important! Amazed at how much gunk builds up on the sealing surface.
