If immobiliser, then engine type won't make a difference.
If it's the immobiliser, could be that battery volts got really low and triggered the event.
So you need to know your EKA code and use the drivers door lock and key sequence thingy to unimobilise it.
If immobiliser has cut in, there should be a red light in the dash that flashes on-off to indicate this issue.
If it turns out it's not the immobiliser, then whether you have a TD5 or V8 info will be helpful.
