Can you explain what you mean by this?

If the system doesnt react to the ORM switch it's a circuit issue or you push it too fast, as about the other thing, when the wheels are spinning the SLS goes to extended mode... it's described in the w-shop manual:

Extended mode
The extended mode is automatically operated by the ECU and requires no input from the driver. Extended mode
operates when the chassis is grounded causing the rear wheels to spin. This information is generated by the ABS
function of the SLABS ECU.
When the ECU senses that the chassis is grounded and the vehicle speed is less than 6 mph (10 km/h), the ECU will
operate the compressor and energise the air control valves for 25 seconds to raise the rear of the vehicle. This
operates irrespective of the mode that the SLS system is in at that time. To inform the driver, the ORM warning lamp
will flash continuously at all times that the system is in extended mode.
The driver can exit the extended mode by depressing the ORM switch for not less than 0.5 seconds or by exceeding
8 mph (13 km/h).

IIRC, manual extended mode only works in low range.

It's officially called "Off road mode" and the range is no factor, only the vehicle speed.

When the engines turned off, you can hear the expulsion of air from the compressor and the rear settles down a fraction. My understanding of this is that the SLABS for test purposes when starting will run the valves and compressor and take it back to the target levels.

As a case in point when the starter solenoid was stuffed, it settled down to the bump stops due to multiple non starts and turning off ignition constantly.

Suppose that is why I am so confused as to the problem. Had sort of expected a circuit that maybe went to a fuse but if it is simply the wiring back to the SLABS unit, there is not much there that can fail it would appear. Unlikely both SLABS units had the same problem that is uncommon and if it is straight wired back to the SLABS????

Possible dumb reply. You are pushing in and holding in the ORH button?

First of all check if there is good earth on the switch's black wire cos if it isnt that's the problem
