I got the car remapped a while ago in Sydney and if I accelerate to quickly... more so up hills it loses a bit of power. If I buy a bosch 4bar sensor would that fix the problem of the sensor not handling the boost pressure? I am going to go back to where I got it done eventually to have them sort it but thought this could save me the drive into Sydney..... eventually I want to replace the turbo with a VNT to increase pressure any way.
Bosch 0281002316 seems to be the upgraded sensor people are using. Is this just a plug and play or is this something I would need to get redone with the ECU?
It's not plug and play unless the fuel map is addapted to that sensor's reading curve, if the remap was not made for that kind of sensor you'll do more harm than good by replacing it
seems that you have a kind of overboost situation which migh have nothing to do with the MAP sensor, check the wastegate modulator's and valve's pipework.... eventually unplug the electrical conector of the modulator and if that helps you have to replace it ...if your's is 15+P engine unplug the MAF and test drive it so to see hat happens
