Changing the transfer gearing only affects high range where as doing the diffs affects both high and low range.
After fixing all my oil leaks I see a new drip on the groundand think its the intermediate shaft on transfer box, only just started.
So I am guessing a LT230 overhaul kit is needed and was then wondering peoples thoughts on using the 1.410 gears to help correct for the larger tyres, and was then wondering why would you worry about doing the diff gears when you can just change that one? it seems to get it close to spec for 33's
Anyone else running the 1.410 on their D2 auto. Anything else worth replacing like HD cross pin ?

Get the lt230 sleeved and ATB put in it
Looks like it will make the job slightly easier just dropping the ATB in, did you rebuild yours? any special tools needed?
I cant decide if I want to change the ratio or leave it as is, I don't mind driving with the lowered gearing as it keeps it in the sweet spot of the torque range.
After a full clean up and a lot more driving it seems to be the input seal.
Make sure that lower box to transfer case bolt ( along with the others ) hasn't come loose as its not a blind hole and can also look like an input seal leak.
If it's leaking through there you will need to drain the oil and clean the thread, then use a sealing compound on the bolt to refit.
If it is the input seal, then at least you can do the idler shaft O rings (X2) as well
Also, if you change the transfer gear ratios it will require going to the coarse ( noisier ) gears, no biggie but something to be aware of.
the only ratio that have the Q gears are 1:211 ( what you have )
