In rain a lot of water is funnelled down A pillar area. Very efficient water catchment

When car is just parked in rain.
I thought it was windscreen seal but even had it checked by professional window place and no leaks there.
I may need to pull off the plastic garnish where the window wipers are and see if its a cracked seal under there. From what I can tell, it runs down the front right corner of the footwell.
I've got trim out and keep propping carpet up so it dries. It was absolutely soaking. If I could smell and feel in my legs I'd have noticed it sooner but was confused why I'd have wet through uggies till discovered a wet carpet haha.
I've never previously had water getting in. Even in bonnet deep water crossing
Thought pop in here for any pointers of where else to look

Hi, i had this problem and it is likely a 2 part problem…. the rubber strip along the top of the windscreen can “shrink back” at the corners and expose a hole right where the roof gutter ends. Water entering there can drain away via a drain hole at the bottom of the “A” pillar but that drain hole is easily blocked by mud or clay thrown up by the wheels. If the drain hole is blocked the pillar will fill with water up to the level where the wire loom for the door electrics passes thru the “A” pillar behind the kick panel - there are vacant holes at that level behind the kick panel that the water dribbles out of when the level rises. Block the top hole and open the bottom hole and you should be okay. I posted photos some years ago - I will see if I can link to the relevant post.
