I, unfortunately, don't have multimeter that can read anything like accurately below 1V so I measured the current draw with the engine running and the max value was 12.6A. Current with the pump running but the engine not started is around 10.0 to 10.5A.
So, before I fully remove the "stuff" in the rear of the car would you say that this indicates a dead or dying pump or should I just head off in the injector seals direction ?

I suspected that this would be the case but at least some good came out of removing the drawers, etc. I discovered that the carpet in the back is quite wet and now that it's all lifted I can get a heater in there to dry it properly. I'll drag out my spare washers and o-rings and the trusty torque wrench and have at it.
