    Mayday.

About to leave Alice Springs, accross the dirt to Cameron's Corner. The sunroof has opened on its own accord and won't shut. I've tried turning the ignition on and off, to no avail. Any ideas?

In the overhead console, to the rear, there is a small square panel. I believe that if you remove it, that wiil give access to the sunroof winder.

If it is the same as the P38A, you can put a large screwdriver into the slot and wind the sunroof closed.

The P38A actually came with a tool for this. Dunno about the L322.

    This is the P38A tool.

Oops. I thought you were in the L322. I just checked mine and what I wrote is wrong.

Now at Marla, it's fixed itself (for now).

With that title for the thread,i thought the Toyota had broken down

Anyway, great it has been sorted(for now),and it was not raining.

Sunroofs are one of my pet hates, and some model vehicles cannot be ordered without them, which is a pain.

Hi, if it happens again and you must close it due to rain it can be manually moved using a hex key which fits into the center of the drive wheel, it moves slowly by hand, you can use a battery drill or something to be faster

How do you access the motor to to do this?
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Remove the headiner trim below the glass then you can lower the headliner in front of the glass just enough to access the motor
