Turbo technics s208 grub screw adjustment

    Hi

With the TT 208 have anyone played with the grub screw adjustment to get boost a little sooner?

Have you got the tune from Ben for that turbo? He told me I had to adjust mine to bring it on boost quicker but I haven't touched it yet. Its a bit laggy at the start. I also have a tune from Shack on here and his tune comes on boost pretty much straight away. Although it's not as strong through the mid range as Ben's. Give Shack a message about it. He is really helpful and does great tunes for the td5.
    Cheers

By grub screw Iguess you're talking about the adjustment screw for the wastegate? (as pictured), mine was set when fitted and certainly don't have much lag if any.....

Auto, do you wind the screw down or up to close the vanes?

    There are 2 adjustments.

Small screw “up” sets the vane baseline.

Adjusting the length of the rod from the diaphragm will then change how far/quickly they open under boost.

So make the grub screw longer or shorter for baseline boost?

Wastage is set as standard and runs 25psi

In the decade that I ran mine I never adjusted it.
In saying that the new CRTurbo was adjusted at Ben's directions and it made the difference in achieving what we were looking for.
