Pressing bearing etc out. How much force?

been there recently - we have a 6 ton press but it was little used during disassembly BUT when it come to assembly the press was used to install the new bearings - and 6 tons was enough for that job. From experience removing old bearings is pretty much always a challenge and in those cases we resort to 'plan B'....
- cut off roller bearing cage and remove rollers to enable partial cutting of the inner race - see photo. Striking the cut with the chisel cracks the race and allows the race to slide off (inner race of tapered roller bearings).
- hammer and punch to remove bearing cups - striking from rear of the cup (outer race of tapered roller bearings).
- used press to remove synchro hub off center diff housing to enable removal of low gear (supported low gear on press base and pressed on center diff shaft to remove the hub and low gear together).
- used three jaw puller to remove all other press fit items.
- old bearings together with sockets can be used as press tools to install new bearings.
NB: I delved into he metal bin and retrieved some examples, the photo is the above method used on some stubborn wheel bearings.
