    Instrument binnacle fix..

I'm trying to repair my binnacle, all the tabs and screw holes are broken.

Does anyone hav a pic of what those top tabs should look like? I get the idea I think, but a pic would be helpful..... I thought I might clean them off entirely and print something suitable.

yeah, I fixed mine some time back and just used a kit of fibreglass to do it. Easy as, made the epoxy a bit 'harder' then they recommended,

it looked really bad, but holds up perfectly fine. No vibes or looseness.

So don't worry about being too pedantic about finish, remembering that it's totally hidden, just make sure it's solid.

LOL! If it's as bad as my fibreglass fix for the shattered D2 dash centre section .. then I can only imagine!

As the plastics started to fail and break in my old cars, I found a combination of Devcon PlasticWelder and PVC cards made a great combination. I started out with unwanted Bunnings gift cards, and then progressed to blank printable PVC cards from an access control supplies company (I buy them 100 at a time). They'd be ideal for repairing the broken clips.

    Just another alternative.

OT, but very topical.... Anyone know where I can source some switches for the binnacle? Mine has the usual suspects; cruise, rear wipe, rear wash, and rear fog ( prolly doesn't work.. Nanocom for that ).
