    EKA code...

Well after a couple of frustrating days with the central locking and access, thought I would try to get the EKA code from the dealer.

Waiting for the reply, thought I would check and see that I can actually use the EKA code so went and initiated the procedure - holding key for 5 seconds - the light on the dash went off and then hit the key button and it responded!! Got in and it started first go!!!!

Did not actually put the EKA code in, just initiated the process and it allowed me back in and start up.

This may be useful for others I hope.

When you get the code from LR, get hold of a nanocom and change it. Mine is set to 01-01-01-01. Easy to remember and you won't break the key trying to enter 09-09-10-11 or whatever stupid number it is currently set to.

Well the dealer from where the car was originally sold got back to me (Wodonga) and said it would be unlikely that I could get the code. Now I have access to the system again, the Nanocom showed me the current code which has 12's and 13's with a 7, thats about 30 minutes of bending key inputting.

As I understand by what you are saying, I am able to change that?

Thank you gents, all coded in and was simple when you see the Read and Set buttons underneath! Down from 45 twists to just 5.

Another thing is to set the "alarm disarm" to "always" which means the alarm is disarmed when you unlock with the key too not like on the factory setting only with the fob. It's possible that your's went to "sleep mode" and it woke up when you unlocked with the key for the EKA as described in the resolution of the attached TSB(even though it's only for NAS it's valid for all as it can happen for 433MHz too and for facelists as well) ... It's also good to read the alarm/immobiliser operation mode from the WS manual to know how it works

I would note (and thanks for this by the way) that I changed my reciever over to 315mHz so I could get the SLS Plip cheap from the states rather than paying $400+ for the 433mHz version.

Just be aware you are now susceptible to the vehicle becoming mobile near certain places like chemists etc as the 315mhz is regularly interrupted by their door systems etc. hence the shift to 433mhz
