If he's still talking, mind asking if shipping get's sensible if he cut's it in half? YMMV etc but I'd take a glue it together option quite happily.

The way I'm thinking about this so called business:

They're not the manufacturer. The business address(es) were all something like Room 614 of some multiplex type office block in some big city .. none of the actual details were retained in my pea brain sized cranium ... but with the effect that this business an office only type setup, which found suppliers of some form or another and basically sold stuff via Ali with zero hand on experience nor knowledge of the actual stuff they sold.

After a few to and fros between whoever this person is and myself, with me leading up to the implication that I just wanted the item sent to Melb, including potential additional shipping costs that I'd pay for(which I would, up to a limit) ... they were totally disinterested in trying to find a solution.
Their response was simply, "no way to send it". Seriously! WTH! I would have expected some sense of self respect from the seller, or just the barest minimum of respect for the customer ... I'd at least have thought anything other than "no way for me to send it" could enter their incompetent thought processes.

So to ask them to do anything physically would 100% for sure, basically unquestionably ... resulted in ?????
    Arthur.

Ask them about pickup, Arthur. We could all chip in to offset the fare.
