SubscriberHi all how hard is it to install a turbo core and has anyone got a turbo core installed from falcon turbo developments in England if so how good are they I have a sherk intercooler the reason for the question is the standard core seems to be leaking oil into the compressor side of the turbo.

I've not used a hybrid from that company, but that aside they aren't too bad to install.
As long as everything comes undone ok!
The oil drain bolts can be tedious though.
You probably won't see much performance gain and they still make plenty of heat at higher boost levels, but are probably a good option of your aren't looking for more power, just reliability.

Hi, i dont know about Falcon t.d. but i have one of these Enhanced Turbo Land Rover Defender Discovery TD5 452239 Hybrid Turbocharger CHRA Cartridge fitted and it's better than with the classic one but not amazing, noticeable mostly at lower rpms, it's the same job like if you replace the cartridge with a normal one, no complications.
