For those with manual D2s, there are two rubber gaiters, one at the top of the gear selector covering the bias plate (FTC5252), this is still readily available however the gaiter that seals between the body and gearstick, part number AWR5526 is no longer available. So if like mine the center is torn out this repair might help you.....

I used this LC80 part Gear Lever Boot suitable for Landcruiser 80 Series that looked suitable and cut it to fit inside the remains of the original gaiter after the removing the torn centre, glueing and sealing it in place. Then I used rivnuts and M4 screws to refit the gaiter and its securing plate. The photos show the process and final result, now to refit the centre console and maybe I'll order some new leather gaiters to finish the job.
