    pretty sure i posted this ages ago somewere.If you excelerate using the paddles from 70 to 90ish the converter wont lockup either,you have to always use the foot for the lockup.don't know why.

    The reason is addressed above.

    Basically the cruise control lockup map doesn't allow lock at ~80kmh.

    It'll often stay locked after you turn cruise back on though due to the lock/unlock hysteresis mapping.
