you could just use a box cutter and cut a access panel in the carpet, which is what i did, i have black carpet in the back and you honestly cant even see the slits unless you looking very closely. on top of said carpet i have rubber mat thing too so another level of 'cant see it' ha

I would say so.

I have the 5 seater and have to remove all of the trim to window height, which also means loosening off (if not removing the window level height trim)

The best place to cut the carpet is right up against the trim on the sides at an angle, then you just have to unscrew the tailgate strip and roll it out the way.

Have you had a good look at the carpet? I'd be unsurprised if it's not already been cut, providing they do a good job it's not very
noticeable

Definitely not been cut.

Everything to the rear of the second row has to come out in that case. The carpet goes under all the trim, regardless of whether it’s a five or seven seater. Get a stock of trim push clips, and enjoy.
