The previous owner had cut the carpet. About 10mm under the side trim.

Mine was a 7 seater. You can't remove that side trim without removing them. It's not a big job but getting it all back without breaking 25 yo plastic that wasn't designed for the Australian sun without breaking stuff is fun,

Has anyone removed the third row seats? Is there a trick, or secret to it?
I undid the two bolts on top before discovering the two nuts underneath. Those have now been removed but it all seems to be jamed on the bottom studs.

Ian. Do you have a copy of RAVE. I was just having a read and I suspect you cant get the seat off the studs due to spring pressure on the mount.

If you have a look at RAVE you need to make a tool to hold the spring.

I just wandered down to my shed to look at mine. I removed mine 13 years ago so could not remember.

There is a home made bracket that is holding the spring.

However, I have just acquired another D2 which came with the 3rd row seats that have been removed.

There were no brackets, so it can be done.
