Chassis damage Front LH side behind wheel for 600k Disco2

I'm new here and posting as it might be crunch time for my beloved Arthur - a Disco 2 TD5 diesel 2001 who has just clocked 600,000kms. Unfortunately, my son ran over a very large tree stump while 4WDing in poor old Arthur and bent the LHside chassis near the front wheel. See photos (also rh side to show what it should look like undamaged). Has anyone else had similar repaired and if so is it expensive??? I'm in Melbourne and any chassis repairer recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Arthur, by the way, runs well and as I'm second owner has always been serviced every 10k (full service history by 1st owner too). Past two years, every 5k. As well as possible expensive chassis repairs there's about $1000 worth of bits and bobs (rear swaybar links, l/h rear hub seal, gearbox mounts, front and rear shocks), that Arthur needs and expected for his advanced age. Fortunately, my son can do most of these repairs but not the chassis repair. We've had Arthur for 15 years, and he's kinda part of the family. However, an expensive chassis repair may quickly erode this sentimentality!

Is the chassis bent or just the outrigger, how are the shut lines?

Hi,
Just the outrigger not the chassis. Shut lines are fine. No damage. It is all behind the front passenger wheel. When my son ran over the stump the alloy wheel bent but as the Disco mounted the stump the edge of it pushed into the subframe section, outrigger, that is bent in the photos. This happened two years ago and was serviced soon after. I told the mechanic and asked them to check for damage. They reported no damage and after another two services, they suddenly point out the bent outrigger and advise the car is not roadworthy and they won't do any work on it until I get it repaired. We've done a few trips since then but not knocks from rocks or any more 'stumps'. Now suddenly I've been told my Disco is too dangerous to drive.

They've been good up til now. Only issue is most Landrover mechanics don't want to bother with older models.

Portapower? you can get these kits for not much money in the bigger tool shops. Select the correct gizmo, hook it to some thing solid and in the right direction and pull or push away with great finesse.

Thank you. I'll give it a go. The body mounts on front passenger side and drivers side are also cracked. Drivers side is not as bad. This is not from the stump impact, but just wear and tear, I've been told.

Hmm.. You say "beloved". So is mine, and I would do it to keep it. That's the thing. Head would say no, but what would you replace it with?

Whereabouts in Vic are you? I know someone who would take a look. Not saying who on the open forum. Def worth trying, older cars are hie love.

I'm in Healesville, Victoria. The engine on my Disco still runs very well. I've always had it serviced every 10k and now every 5k. It's never missed a beat and its just cost me general wear and tear that you'd expect for a vehicle thats done 600k. Plus I've set it up for 4wding minus a lift. Thank you so much for the help.
