D2a vent control?

Ok, I've found something that I don't understand (I know, it's a Landy thing..) I look after 2 D2a's, mine and my sons, he got his first and is a June '03 build, mine is a Feb '03 build, so not much between them, both TD5, autos with similar K's (375-380,000) both in pretty good condition. His has had a very gentle life but mine has done some hard stuff along with signs of beach work, nothing dramatic and has been maintained pretty well.

Ok, now I've given a bit of background, to my issue. my aircon/ventalation needed some work, the ducting seals had given way and was putting out almost no air. I've fixed this up and now get some decent force from the fan, the problem is it seems to cycle from face to floor (maybe screen as well) and then comes back again. This is something I have not noticed in my sons D2, but is very noticeable in mine.
Is this a setting I need to change? I've had a look in RAVE but it is a bit vague, it does mention cycling to the floor and back again but doesn't give any way to change this. Is it even possible to stop this happening as on hot days it seems to take a very long time to cycle back to face vents.
I've had a look with my Nano (only a 1 version so might be missing something)

Sounds like a blender motor problem, either the motor or more likely the control. Nanocom is no help with the AC, no matter which model.
You can do a fault test in the car itself, but I'm not sure if it will help.To perform the air conditioning diagnostic test on a Land Rover Discovery 2, follow these steps:

Turn the ignition off.
On the climate control panel, press and hold both the AUTO and Air Distribution buttons.
While holding these buttons, switch the ignition to position 2 (on).
Continue holding the buttons for 4–5 beeps, then release them.
The fault code (FC) results will be displayed on the right side of the screen, with the two-digit fault code shown in the right-hand temperature window
00 - no faults
11 - in car temp sensor fault
12 - ambient sensor fault
13 - thermistor fault
14 - heater coolant sensor fault
*21 - left sunlight sensor fault - open or shorted
*22 - right sunlight sensor fault - open or shorted
31 - left servo motor
32 - right servo motor
33 - distribution servo motor

21 and 22 will fault if you don't do the test in sunlight. 31, 32 and 33 seem to be what you want.

This does not test the compressor or if the system is gassed.

I'll check for faults when I get home (next Friday) the system itself, now I've resealed the unit, actually cools quite well.

I think you are correct, the fault is probably to do with the distro motor, when I had things apart I tested it and it seemed to just do some random movements at times

Absolute worst case, I do have spare unit in the spares truck, so I can swap them over, but not a small job....
