Howdy folks I am still floating around, just not getting on as much as the app stopped working for me.

Quite a while ago I discussed rebuilding my tired td5 at almost half a million kms. It had been though a lot Instead of doing that, my beloved disco ended up with a really decent second hand, low km td5 that came with some goodies and upgrades. So saved a lot of time and dollars. New motor came with one of those variable vane turbos, and stage 2 tune. It has now got a flashable ecu in it, with a stage 2 already, but definitely need to get a tune tailored just for my car.
Got it back a little over a week ago, feels so fresh and nice! few teething issues, as it does not seem to want to stay in or go in lockup at high speed, but then does here and there. I do not think anything wrong with my auto as it was perfectly normal before, but have new motor and new ecu, new intercooler etc. Probably should reset the adaptive values and see if that helps incase it needs to re learn being in a different car with a different engine. Causing me to have a little bit of anxiety and worry. It is so smooth shifting and cruising along that it is actually really hard to tell compared to before. Might need to increase boost a little as well. Getting to know it all and work out what is now normal for it.
Cannot wait to plan some road trips, and new adventures now my car is no longer in palliative care! (and when suss this lock up behaviour)
I still have my old engine as well, should I ever need it or wish to rebuild it after all. The old motor hung in there and never gave up
