what is the lift like? does it feel much different on road compared to stock? Does it lean more around the corners?

i would say lift makes the ride a little firmer with less wallowing. also less harsh ride over bigger bumps when previous the car took a noticable hit.
tbh for $700 i am very happy, have only previously had ome on 4wd and they were good but wanted to ry something different this time.

A two inch lift is fairly minor as things go. Definitely worth doing though.

Today I obtained approval from the Minister of Finance to go ahead with the 2" lift on my D2. Extended Billies and Brown or King Springs will be fitted along with Polyairs if I can make the dollars stretch. Currently I think it's all original and now with just over 200K on the clock, she is getting quite bad to drive, wallows, dips under braking, body roll of a bus...
I just need to accept that once lifted, I have relegated myself to the train as she won't fit in the carpark at work once done. :(

would you recommend stiffer springs all round for the 2inch lift or soft with poly bags at the rear? Those are the two options i am considering. Its good to know now that the on road performance doesnt change much. I just dont want it to lean around corners like a D1 does. I guess the longer trailing arms do make a big diffenrence.
You will be surprised. The car wont be as high as you think and most carparks arent as lot as you think. I think a standard disco is 1.95 metres. With a two inch lift you should be at about 2 metres. Most carparks are at least 2.10metre which should give you 10 cm clearance.Quote:

Really depends on what you do with your Disco. Mine is an all purpose car - we do extended outback touring, is our around town car, but is also does regular tough trips around Melbourne.Quote:
