I didn't know the three-door models continued to be built alongside the five-door models as late as this.
I got the flares from a chap on Ebay in UK. They were around 150 pounds for four which looking back was quite expensive.
To be honest I wouldn't buy them again either...these ones are fibre glass which can be quite brittle. There's a flexible plastic version out now which are the same price and are much more suitable for off roading. They advertise in the Rover mags...sorry I really can't remember the name of the company. When I find it I'll post it up somewhere.
My Disco was one of 900 built specificaly for the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Interior. Built in 1998 with a basic spec of 3.9efi (I changed mine to 4.6 a few years later), LHD, manual R380 box, electric windows, central locking, steel rims and they were all in white colour.
When the Saudi's received them they rejeced the whole consignment because they thought they were getting the new Disco II. The local dealer had already paid the import duty on them and had to flog them off fast to make way for the new delivery....me and my mates bought 7 of them for less than half the showroom tag price!
They come up in the Landy amgs quite often these days....I still love mine...it's taken me all around the middle east and has only let me down a few times in the desert.
First time was a busted rear diff and the second was a blown head gasket 800km away from home in the desert of Oman. I fixed it on the spot with assistance of a satellite phone and a mini bus who bought the gasket set up from the nearest town that was 600km away.
The J33p belongs to a hairdresser mate of mine![]()
well Ive tried 5 times to upload pics know how to do it but its not playing the game
Cool! I'll have to start looking for those flexi ones then!
Awww, don't be like that, Streaky! A lot Jeep folk respect Landy's and vice versa...and I don't own a single pair of sharp scissors, lololol!
Cheers

Hopefully attached are pics of my disco. Apart from std height replacement springs, some 245/70 BFG's and some rock sliders its standard. I'm pretty sure I've taken this car to its limits and then some (bent steering arm and busted steering damper, probably 10L less capacity in the fuel tankand other misc items).
While I'm at uni I'm paying just to keep it on the road. Graduating at the end of this year and then I'll get to drop some coin on it. Mild to start with - 2" lift, 33's, cut arches and depending on time available custom bars to suite a 2" body lift
