Nothing much to tell except a few refresher lessons.
1) Pay attention at all times, not just 99% of the time, while driving.
2) Wear seatbelt at all times, not just 99%, while in moving vehicle (I was wearing), even when off road, or maybe especially when off road.
3) Never relax just because you are near the end of the trail (was 600m from main macadam road) ... it's the "easy" bits that catch you off guard.
No excuses, just 100% fault of nut behind the wheel ... lapse of concentration for couple of seconds, after a 99.9% perfect driving record for near 20 years.
Long grass hid the drop on the left side of trail (right side of photo), ooops.
Here's mine: the first photo was taken at Lake Taupo hours before the top radiator hose split and blew the motor.
The second is as she still is today 3 months later and still waiting for the new motor to arrive from the UK. At least I have had time to update the headlamps. Have got 8mm Steering guard, '04 CDL kit and cruise control to fit yet.

Pedro, this is "Blue" by the way and just about the best D2 I've seen. Great install of the winch and a great read.
