The TJM bars from what understand are all winch compatible unlike the ARB bars. They do require a cradle to fit a winch. A couple of people have even fabricated their own.

Nice! How do you get 6 BFG Ats on it though?! Mines only got 4 wheels on it!

If you dont have them I would suggest a dual battery setup, good car fridge, UHF, EPIRB (or HF radio or sat phone), a good tyre repair kit, full tool kit with spares and lots of beer for the around Australia trip!

    Angus
    Thanks,

    6 wheels

One at the back and one is going in or on the top off the car on a roofrack

I'm not gonna use a dual battery set up, i always got a powerpack with.
I can use it for the fridge and as a jumpstart as well.

The Fridge is going to be an Engel i think, but i'm gonna buy that one when i'm in australia. It's a lot cheaper than in holland.

Have you got a good adress for UHF near Sydney to let it install?

The tools and spares will be allright.

Beer, that's something i never forget.

It's the regulation here for registration of the car, you can have 2 or 4 but not 1 or 3.

Where abouts in Sydney will you be staying when you get here

There are always members here that will do things for beer, it's as good as money

Up to a MAXIMUM of 6 total lights....

So on a Disco, 2 headlights, 4 spotties is the max

On an 80 series LC its 4 headlights + 2 spotties MAX

Now I know this is gonna sound stupid ... but ...

I believe that it is because in the distance, as it is approaching on coming traffic, it can appear as a airplane
In the bush these spot lights can be seen for 10k's + .... It is dark out there in the outback ... for thousands of k's

But basically you will get asked by the law to remove it .... Also you are suppose to put a "cover" over the spotlights when not in use ... So you don't accidentally drive with them on ... during the day ... and blind oncoming traffic

Dumb part is that motorcycles have 1 headlight .... Go figure

    I run clear covers.

Also, the need to be wired so that they operate only when the headlights are on high beam.

Yeah I have clear covers also. I did get the white IPF covers with my lights, but it would be a PITA to have to change them over. I use the highbeams and spotties all the time.

I don't believe that is the covers mean't to be used by law
I believe it is to be "NON see through" covers
