Cool Front door locks + DII

    Hiya all!
I have just got my 2000 DII V8 thru compliance and all is well but the fron doors will not work with the central locking. The driver's door key will lock the rear 3 doors (along with the driver's door) but not the front left door. The switch on the dash only operates the 3 rear doors. Anyone have any idea what gives?

    Thanks!

    Wink

    Howdy,
Hmmm, yep. The biggie is ...... is there a fuse for them? My lights on the bumper using the binacle switch on the left of the speedo won't work either. Maybe they are connected?

does the door try to open? can u see the lock moving at all when u unlock/lock? on many cars the actuator rod can slip a bit and cause issues with the little motor. or as already said perhaps that motor has died. apparently u can fit a cheapy from the likes of jb's/strathfield/autobarn.

    Mate,

    How'd you go with this?
I have the exact same problem this morning.
Anyone got any ideas or assistance?

All other locks pop up and down, but not the front passenger side.
Can't hear anything trying to work inside the door either.

    Howdy!
I have bought a couple of second hand locks from a low mileage wreck to fit. Apparantly DII door locks are are a pain in the a.. and prone to failure of the central locking bits. The units I bought were working ok the bloke told me so when I fit them i'll report back. I can feel the lock gently clicking if I put my hand right on the lock and operate the dash button but nothing happens to the locks. Stuffed.

    OK, update time.

The lock button, will only "pop up" when I pull the interior handle.
The door can then be opened, by pulling the outside or inside handle.
The button can be pushed down by hand and will stay there, locking the door, until the interior handle is pulled.

Nothing looks out of place inside the door.
The 3 other doors lock and unlock with the internal button, or keyfob.

Does this mean the door lock motor is kaput?

    Advice please

    Brief update......
Button will ONLY come up if I pull the interior handle, but it will lock with the keyfob or dashbutton.

    Any ideas or suggestions.
Everything looks in place behind the door too?

Where can I purchase a new door lock in Brisbane?

It locks, but does not unlock. The workshop is quoting me about $220

    Thanks
