If unplugging the maf made no difference i would say there lies youre problem ?
Hi from New Zealand!!
I'm looking fer clues... Me '00 V8 DII is running a bit rough at idle. It has just had new plugs and leads. It was running on 7 when I got it 3 weeks ago. The new plugs saw to that. It has all the hallmarks of a bad MAF but I tried unplugging it today while it was idling rough and it made no difference. My Scangauge has picked up a P0150 (O2 sensor bank 2) code afew times and I have had a P0174 (too rich on bank2) once. On the open road it appears almost to be starving of fuel under accelleration etc which points to the bad MAF. Over 200RPM it seems to be better.
Have you any clues? Ireckon it is a bad MAF but dont want to wast money on 1 if it aint!
Thank you
Oliver

MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah
2004 Jayco Freedom tin tent
1998 Triumph Daytona T595
1974 VW Kombi bus
1958 Holden FC special sedan
1 Air Flow Meter
2 Crank Angle Sensor
3 Cam Position Sensor
4 Throttle position Sensor
Just to name a few
Disconect the O2 Sensors and go for a drive all this will do is make it run rich (No harm will come from it)
If your diagnostics can clear the fault codes clear them after disconecting the O2 Sensors take it for a run scan for faults the codes will come back up take note of what the car does with disconected O2 sensors
If theres no difference its not the O2 sensors
At first glance it sounds like the air flow meter
Cheers Ken
