    Low K Disco II 2004

    Gday,

I am looking at purchasing a 2004 Classic Town TD5 with 47K on the clock for around $37K. It looks in perfect condition.

I will get it checked out by a local landy dealer, but I noticed it had a tow bar with a Hayman Reese break controller. So its possible it has done some heavy towing.

Just wondering if there is anything I should look out for and if you you think thats a good price?

    Thanks

On the electric brakes part, I've got an electric brake controller and HR towbar and all I tow is my sub 1t camper trailer. So it doesn't necessarily mean it towed a 3t van all over the place.

i got one of those its been the best td5 i have had

check the normal things, oil leaks, make sure everything works properly, etc

price seems a bit steep though

mines got 64k on it & i dont recon it is worth more then 25-28k,it is a 5 seat

dont know where you are but i would get it checked by a landrover specialist, not a dealer

    cheers

there is a blue one in Sydney, 5 seat manual with 104 on the clock for 24500, 37k means you will loose lots of money.

I am looking a older cars the are in the 10k to 20k area. I lost a lot on the D1 as it is only now worth 15% of what I paid.

OK Thanks for the info. Its a 7 seater too. Classic Town with leather and a few other extras.

So the Mid $35K might be a better price? I am located in brisbane.

in todays courier, page 2 of cars guide, down the bottomof the page there is a couple of cheap petrols,03 90k for 19k,01 for 10k.

any landy, except for maybe some fenders, dont seem to hold their value well.

all petrol 4wd's are particularly bad at the moment

    cheers
