    Heater A/C Issue

My heater - A/C is playing up, is just started only pumping hot air, and only out of the front window demister, or the feet air vent. It also beeps a few times when the ignition is turned on, which is a new event. I have tried every setting and nothing seems to fix the problem.

Anyone seen or experienced this problem?

    Sounds like D2.
There is a diagnosis you can do via the controls.
I have tried a search to find the post but cant unfortunately.
This may jog others memory and they can tell how its done.

Step 1: Go to the tool bar at the top of this page.

    Step2: Click on 'Shop'

Step3: Purchase RAVE discs from Dave (Incisor)

Step4: As Landyandy says, there is a code extraction method you can
perform using the controls, but I can't remember how to do it now

These RAVE discs are an invaluable asset when owning a D2.
(It's possible the sensor in the dash next to the ignition key area (A little grille thingy) is faulty and/ or blocked. This is the internal air temp sensor for the climate control.)

i've just had a squiz through RAVE. if it is for a D2 let me know and i'll pm you with the process for fault finding. its as the guys have already said, a button pushing sequence and then a matter of reading the codes(if any) that come up. it's a bit long winded for me to type out here.

The plot thickens a little on this one, it has warmed up a little here, and upon driving to work in temps over 5 degrees, i noticed this morning i didn't have the heater on... but there was still hot air pumping out of the foot wells, and out of the demister for the front windscreen? It seems no matter what the setting is, and even if the A/C is off, it is till pumping hot air out.

    Normal

If you dont want hot air, adjust your temp settings...

    Off isnt OFF
