    Disco 2 footrest

I find the Disco 2 footrest verging on the completely useless and would like to replace it with something better. Has anyone made or purchased a replacement? If so, any chance of a couple of pics?

And here I was thinking it was just me

I am seriously considering pulling the old one out, and using it as a template to make one out of checker plate.

I just find the original one too narrow to comfortably rest my foot on.

Hi Mal, what is the problem with it?

I find mine bends easily into the footwell, I just pull it back out a bit, but I should lodge something behind it securely to keep it positioned right.

I have no idea what a D2 foot rest looks like, but the one in my D1 is good.

It's about the same width as a foot and doesn't seem to bend at all.

Here is a pic of one (I hope). While I havent had a problem with it bending, I do find it too narrow to rest my foot on it comfortably. Especially for long drives.

The D1 '95 facelift had a good sturdy one. Maybe try that path?
