That does look good, massive build.
Hey All

Oh yeah, Greg Davis. He is the D2 pioneer. When everyone was fitting 2" lifts, he was working with Rovertym on the 3" lift and up until his next round of mods was still running prototype springs. He was about the first to fit 285/75-16, He was about the first to fit non standard rims (Camaro I think), He was the first to cut body work, he ran his exhaust out through the side of his rear 1/4 panel, he fitted big tyres first.. I think they were 36's or something and then pulled back.... to fit 37's. Then he was about the first to attempt an axle swap which is where the skids seemed to have been put on. He was initially trying to fit Dana60's to it and then got all possessed and decided that Portals would be better and so cut the roof of in the process. He's been working on this for sooo long now, its a real shame he's not still into it. Others now have passed him in axle swap developments etc with Dana60's... actually it may have been full TOyotas and the fitting of portals. Shame, Gregs not shy though.
Cheers

Yeah it looks like the USA rules on modifying cars are a lot less restrictive...looks like you can do just about anything!
How is your project going Simon?
Angus
Yeah, they seem to be able to do anything over there.... except buy a diesel Landy.
I'm pretty sure they're still running ABS where they can over there, because the electronics in the D2 are so reliant on them. I'm pretty sure they fella with Toy axles added ABS to make speedo etc work again. I dont recall what Gregs doing, but a huge amount of loom came out of it when the roof came off.
My one... whoa. I haven't really touched it since last year. Over the Xmas I moved to Orange and then it was too cold. Its a runner and can be driven, but I've just bought a ZF auto and LT230 for it which I'll put in this Sept holidays and hopefully get a few other minor things done to it at the same time. As I always say.... hopefully this Xmas it'll be done, but at the same time I'm also building a house and doing the gardens on what is an 8acre block - so heaps to keep busy. 'd like the ute up and running though to use for TT's and as a paddock ute. Actually, I've been having some suspension thoughts for it lately also.... but I hate being a "gunna".
