ARB Bullbar from D2 to D2a. Faults
I'm looking at selling my Td5 D2 S and buying a late 2003 D2a Td5 SE with all the fruit.(Would love a D3 but the initial price
and lack of aftermarket parts etc at the moment have made me re-assess) I would like to keep my ARB bull bar. Will it fit the D2a, on appearance it looks like the only difference is the mounting of the D2a's fog/driving lights in the bar. One stroke of luck is the colours look pretty identical as the bar is colour-coded along with the driving lights.
Also what fault issues do the D2a's have ?
I've had the fuel pressure block done, injector harness replaced and resolved an issue with the "3 amigos" along with the return fuel line into the fuel tank replaced after rubbing thru and dropping diesel everywhere when at idle on mine; can I expect these again ?
Thanks in advance
Regards
Laurie

Hi Laurie,
The bullbar will mount directly from your D2 to D2a. The mounts are identical its just the bullbar centre section is different & there are no mounting points for your fog lights.
The D2 grille is in a U shape so to speak & u will notice it dips below the centre section of your bullbar, hence there is a cutout for this.
On the D2a there isnt, so u may end up with a bit of a gap between the grille & your bullbar-so be it.
WRT faults on the later models, Yes there all still apparent. No as much though

Thanks Pete
I thought as much, I will adjust my offer ! as these will be issues soon as the car has 110k on the clock. Is there still a problem with the front drive-shafts ?

Same front prop shaft Laurie. I normally have 2, & rotate/rebuild every year for safety sake. Cheap insurance.
Cheers.
