    Leads for D2 on LPG

Hi all. 02 Disco V8 on LPG. Running smoothly, but as part of maintenance I want to replace plugs and leads that are getting on a bit (and with LPG you dont want to notice electric problems via a backfire).

I will stay with the double platinum champions because they have served me well and the Motronic likes them it seems.

As for plug leads any ideas? I am not too worried about a specific gas lead, because its dual fuel and the original LR leads have been completely fine. I suppose any low resistance good quality lead is the go - and one that fits the tip of the champion plug (i have a feeling that they have a smaller tip than normal).

I use Performance Ignition leads and Dizzy on my D1 and they seem good. I know magnecor have a huge following in the US, but most of that info is about the D1.

Any idea where to get good leads for the D2?

    Cheer

I think the same reasons you put good leads on a D1 applies to the D2.

    the usual suspects,
    magnacor etc

The installation process is MUCH harder.

Why not stick with the genuine ones,or are they extremely pricey?

On our lpg work vans,Mitsys,i have never found a good after market lead. we use the genuine ones& never have any trouble. Some of them have done 150k,and are around 5yrs old,no probs.

I know landys are a different product, just my 2 cents worth.

Hi Paul - $39 each trade price - cannot buy as a set as such!!!!

    Cheers

PS. Good call though because they seem to last well, but only 7mm and way too expensive.
