Photos of 3 scuba tank LPG and ICOM VHF

Hi all - couple of blokes were chasing photos of the scuba tanks. Here they are - they are very small height wise and you still have the pockets areas on either side. The other shot is the new ICOM UHF - body mounted up under passenger side panel on the steel chassis that runs under the dash (ie above the cardboard panel) and you can see the mount for the mic on the ashtray (ashtray still works). I am holding the mic because the mic holder is drying. The ICOM has all functions and display in the mic - hence its a bit bigger than a standard, but very nice in hand.

    Cheers

Having a small sill tank we are thinking of three scuba tank set up under our RR to replace the main petrol tank. on the RR that is apparently the way to go and not loose your lugage space. the other way we would be thinking is to go with the donut shape LPG tanks. found a link in this forum to find them, before we rolled the 1985 RR. Now we have a 90 RR starting to think of piutting this on LPG. In the back you could put a false floor above the scuba style LPG tanks, but we would prefer them unde floor.

The manifold tank on the rear floor is a different sort of tank to the one that goes under the floor. Depending on who you talk to they are both referred to as scuba tanks.

I've got them on the floor in my Disco1 as well. Same as above but in a Disco1 they are hard up against the rear seat and bugger all room between the rear door and the tank but same amount of room on either side as in that pic.
I built a cover over mine that gives access to space either side with lift up covers.
Quite expensive for the capacity you get but does leave your fuel system untouched. That is until you need to change your petrol pump.
