    New springs install on D2

    Hey guys,
Have just ordered some +2" springs for the Disco, and was wondering if anyone has any tips or hints for a DIY job at home?

    Non-air type, just springs.

Have access to spring compressors, but was checking to see if there is anything I should be aware of, or advice, before attempting it.

    Cheers in advance,

Just finished the fit-up of a 4" lift on the D2 here...

    Chassis Stands
    Trolley Jack
    13mm, 17mm, 19mm spanners
Bottle Jack (handy but not necessary)
    Spring Compressors
    WD40

Just be patient, take your time and work safe...

    hey Kieran

I havent done the fronts before, but I have done my rears. A good tip is to put the jack stands under the chassis, disconnect the rear shocks to allow max droop, pull the abs lines out of the holder first though. You should be able to get the std springs out without too much hassle, though the 2 inch ones (if longer) might need a bit of shoving to get in. I didnt use spring clamps.

The fronts are a lot harder to do as the shocks are in the spring.
