Thread: 2001 Disco electrical

Hi,
I have just bought a 2001 disco series 2.

I have had trouble starting it. it unlocks fine with the remote but you cant turn the key in the ignition and the alarm beeps once. after stuffing around for five mins finally it comes off lock and starts.

I am sure the above is linked all to the security system.

Also have intermittent ABS light and TC light occasionally but both disapear after restarting.

Can anyone recomend a brisbane hood lining repairer?

I have been a devoted land drover owner for many years, ive had series 2 & 3 but this Disco while inexpensive to buy is a let down, hopefully once i get a few of the issues soughted it will be a reliable car.

I would appreciate any help.

That will fix that problem .

Now for your warning lights - this seems to indicate that there's a minor fault with the ABS system. If there's someone nearby who can read the fault codes, have it checked out.

If no-one here can help with your headlining, give your local LR service dept a call. They'll have a trimmer they use all the time who should be familiar with LR trim (not that LR trim is a specialised job).
